Frequently asked questions.
Who can use Lexserve?
Law firms, attorneys, in-house teams, businesses and individuals may submit requests. We confirm suitability, jurisdiction, scope and conflicts or restrictions before accepting work.
How is pricing determined?
Pricing depends on task type, volume, complexity, jurisdiction, turnaround and required review. We provide a quote after assessing the brief.
Can you handle urgent work?
Tell us the deadline in your enquiry. Urgent assignments are subject to availability and written confirmation.
Do you provide legal advice or represent clients?
Lexserve provides support services as agreed. Unless expressly confirmed through a qualified and authorised professional, services do not constitute legal advice, court representation or a substitute for the responsible lawyer's review.
How do I share confidential documents?
Start with a non-sensitive summary. We will confirm the appropriate secure transfer method and confidentiality arrangements before requesting sensitive files.
What happens after I submit?
The team reviews the request and may contact you for clarification, scope, quote and delivery expectations. Submission alone does not confirm acceptance.
Can I request ongoing support?
Yes. Task-based, weekly and monthly arrangements can be discussed according to workload, service window and agreed commercial terms.
Who owns the deliverables?
Ownership, permitted use, source materials and confidentiality will be defined in the engagement terms. Lexserve retains rights in its pre-existing methods, templates and materials unless agreed otherwise in writing.
Service terms and important information
These summary terms should be read alongside any written engagement proposal or service agreement issued for a specific assignment.
1. Scope and acceptance
Each assignment is subject to review, availability, conflict checks where applicable, and written confirmation of scope, deliverables, timeline and fees. A submitted form is a request only and does not constitute acceptance.
2. Legal advice and professional responsibility
Unless separately agreed with an appropriately qualified and authorised legal professional, Lexserve provides administrative, drafting, research and paralegal support and does not itself provide legal advice, create an attorney-client relationship, or guarantee legal outcomes. The responsible attorney or client remains responsible for reviewing, approving and filing legal work.
3. Client instructions and source materials
The client is responsible for the accuracy, completeness and lawful provision of instructions and materials, and for identifying deadlines, jurisdiction-specific requirements and restrictions on use or disclosure.
4. Fees, payment and revisions
Fees, payment milestones, included revisions, out-of-scope work and cancellation terms will be specified in the written quote or engagement terms. Work begins only after the agreed acceptance and payment conditions are met.
5. Confidentiality and data handling
Information is handled for enquiry assessment and agreed service delivery. Do not submit sensitive, privileged or personal information through the initial form. Secure transfer methods and confidentiality terms should be confirmed before sensitive documents are shared.
6. Timelines and delivery
Estimated timelines depend on complete instructions, volume, complexity, source quality and timely responses. A deadline is accepted only when expressly confirmed in writing. Additional work or changed instructions may affect cost and timing.
7. Intellectual property and permitted use
Client-provided materials remain subject to the client's rights. Rights in assignment-specific deliverables and permitted use will be set out in the applicable engagement terms. Lexserve retains rights in pre-existing tools, processes, templates and know-how unless agreed otherwise in writing.
8. Limitation and no guaranteed outcome
Support work is prepared from the instructions and materials supplied and is subject to review by the client or responsible professional. Lexserve does not guarantee a particular legal, commercial or case outcome. Any liability and remedies are governed by the applicable written agreement and law.
9. Privacy and communications
Contact details and enquiry information may be used to assess, respond to and administer the request. Do not use the form to transmit unlawful content or information you are not authorised to disclose.
